La renuncia, aceptada por el Gobernador de Boyac\u00e1, Carlos Andr\u00e9s Amaya, se produjo en diciembre de 2024, luego de que el concejal de Bogot\u00e1, Daniel Brice\u00f1o, radicara una recusaci\u00f3n en contra del presidente de la C\u00e1mara debido a su v\u00ednculo consangu\u00edneo con Salamanca Torres.<br \/><br \/>El conflicto de intereses fue se\u00f1alado por el concejal Brice\u00f1o, quien argument\u00f3 que la relaci\u00f3n familiar entre ambos podr\u00eda comprometer la imparcialidad en la gesti\u00f3n del hospital. Tras la renuncia, Esperanza Parra Rodr\u00edguez asumi\u00f3 de manera encargada la direcci\u00f3n del hospital, marcando el fin de una gesti\u00f3n que estuvo marcada por la controversia.<br \/><br \/>Este suceso ha generado preocupaci\u00f3n en la comunidad y ha puesto en evidencia la necesidad de revisar los procesos de selecci\u00f3n y designaci\u00f3n de cargos en entidades p\u00fablicas para evitar situaciones que puedan generar dudas sobre la transparencia y la \u00e9tica en la administraci\u00f3n
