Este crimen tiene similitudes alarmantes con el asesinato de su amigo y socio, \u2018Pedro Pechuga\u2019, ocurrido en el mismo lugar en agosto de 2024.<br \/><br \/>S\u00e1nchez, quien se encontraba acompa\u00f1ado de familiares y amigos, fue abatido por un \u00fanico disparo, lo que sugiere la intervenci\u00f3n de un francotirador entrenado. El proyectil habr\u00eda sido disparado desde una distancia aproximada de 80 metros. Las autoridades hallaron una estera, un tr\u00edpode improvisado y una botella de agua en una zona boscosa cercana al conjunto, lo que indica que el asesino estuvo esperando durante varias horas el momento adecuado para atacar.<br \/><br \/>A pesar de las estrictas medidas de seguridad en el conjunto residencial, el autor del crimen logr\u00f3 escapar sin ser identificado. Las investigaciones est\u00e1n en curso para determinar si este asesinato guarda relaci\u00f3n con el ocurrido contra \u2018Pedro Pechuga\u2019.<br \/><br \/>Hernando S\u00e1nchez, nacido en Brice\u00f1o, Boyac\u00e1, fue un pilar en la industria esmeraldera. A lo largo de los a\u00f1os, consolid\u00f3 su poder en el sector, especialmente en la zona de Marip\u00ed, Boyac\u00e1, donde manten\u00eda una gran influencia minera. A pesar de su bajo perfil medi\u00e1tico, S\u00e1nchez era ampliamente reconocido por su experiencia y su habilidad para negociar. Ya hab\u00eda sobrevivido a un atentado en 2012, cuando recibi\u00f3 nueve disparos, lo que aument\u00f3 su seguridad personal. Sin embargo, este nuevo ataque ocurri\u00f3 en un entorno que consideraba seguro.<br \/><br \/>El asesinato de S\u00e1nchez deja en evidencia la violencia y las tensiones que siguen marcando el negocio de las esmeraldas en Colombia. Las autoridades contin\u00faan investigando el caso y analizando las posibles conexiones entre este crimen y el de su amigo \u2018Pedro
