La Universidad Pedag\u00f3gica y Tecnol\u00f3gica de Colombia (UPTC) cerr\u00f3 con \u00e9xito su participaci\u00f3n en los Juegos Universitarios ASCUN 2025, disputados en Bucaramanga, al conquistar un total de 28 medallas: 7 de oro, 8 de plata y 13 de bronce. Con este desempe\u00f1o, la instituci\u00f3n alcanz\u00f3 el puesto 14 a nivel nacional, entre delegaciones de m\u00e1s de 116 universidades del pa\u00eds.

Los 230 estudiantes que integraron la delegaci\u00f3n destacaron en disciplinas como atletismo, f\u00fatbol sala, voleibol arena, karate, judo y taekwondo. El equipo estuvo acompa\u00f1ado por 20 profesionales de Tunja, Duitama y Sogamoso.

Andrea Casta\u00f1eda, coordinadora de la L\u00ednea de Deportes de Bienestar Universitario, resalt\u00f3 el compromiso y crecimiento de los deportistas: \u201cLa UPTC qued\u00f3 entre las 15 mejores del pa\u00eds, lo que demuestra el apoyo institucional al deporte y el sentido de pertenencia de nuestros estudiantes\u201d.

Uno de los logros m\u00e1s celebrados fue la medalla de oro del equipo femenino de f\u00fatbol sala, que sorprendi\u00f3 por su nivel competitivo tras no haber participado el a\u00f1o anterior. El baloncesto femenino tambi\u00e9n mostr\u00f3 avances, obteniendo reconocimientos individuales y un buen desempe\u00f1o en baloncesto 3×3.

Casta\u00f1eda subray\u00f3 la importancia del respaldo institucional, que asumi\u00f3 costos de inscripci\u00f3n, uniformes, alojamiento, alimentaci\u00f3n e implementos deportivos, calificando este esfuerzo como \u201cuna inversi\u00f3n para la formaci\u00f3n integral de los estudiantes\u201d.

En el \u00e1mbito cultural, la UPTC tambi\u00e9n brill\u00f3: Daniel Santiago Cuchivague Rivera obtuvo el primer lugar en canci\u00f3n in\u00e9dita vallenata; Banda Alzheimer, el segundo lugar en grupos pop; y el Grupo Candela recibi\u00f3 menci\u00f3n especial por mejor puesta en escena en danza urbana.
